2002 Mankas Hills Vineyards Mankas Cabernet Sauvignon

The current focus of Mankas Hills efforts is to produce world class Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyards are situated on prime gravelly loam land with ideal slope and drainage to grow Cabernet Sauvignon. Particular attention was paid to lay down the vine trellis to optimize drainage and light exposure.

Winemaker notes: The 2002 Mankas Cabernet Sauvignon offers a unique perspective of the Mankas Hills. The majority of the grapes making this blend came from the younger vines of our vineyard and were harvested in Late September. The wine was aged for 18 months in a mix of French, European and American oak barrels. "Mankas" displays a big fruit profile and is well balanced in aroma and flavor. It is a great wine to enjoy with daily food.
